Join José Rojas and drummers from Shunpike Social Club for an exciting six-week course exploring Afro-Latin rhythms. Featuring instruments such as conga, bongó, timbales, cencerros and guiros, the sessions are always guided by the clave pattern – the heartbeat of this music.

A pianist will join to provide mambo and salsa accompaniment, helping create a richer understanding of the ensemble. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced percussionist, José’s expertise offers something for every level.

All percussion instruments are provided. Some prior hand drumming experience is useful, but not essential.
